Modern Slavery Policy
Clean Me Marketplace Ltd
1. Policy Statement
Clean Me Marketplace Ltd is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all areas of our business and supply chains. We recognise our responsibility to operate ethically and with integrity and to implement effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery does not take place within our organisation or in the services provided through our platform.
This policy reflects our commitment to acting responsibly and complying with the requirements of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
2. About Clean Me
Clean Me Marketplace Ltd operates a digital marketplace that connects customers with independent mobile car wash and valeting operators. Customers can book services through the Clean Me platform and operators independently provide the car cleaning services.
While operators are independent service providers and not employees of Clean Me, we expect all operators using our platform to uphold ethical working practices and comply with all applicable laws.
3. Our Commitment
Clean Me is committed to:
Ensuring there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our business operations.
Promoting transparency and ethical business practices.
Taking appropriate action if we become aware of any form of forced labour, exploitation, or human trafficking connected to our platform.
Encouraging responsible business practices among operators using the Clean Me platform.
4. Risk Assessment
As a digital marketplace platform, Clean Me’s direct operational risk is relatively low. However, we recognise potential risks may arise where independent operators use subcontractors, employees, or third parties to deliver services.
We monitor risks through platform policies and operator agreements and maintain the ability to remove operators who breach our standards.
5. Operator Standards
Operators using the Clean Me platform must:
Comply with all applicable employment, labour, and human rights laws.
Ensure that any workers they employ or engage do so voluntarily.
Ensure that workers are free to leave their employment in accordance with applicable laws.
Not engage in any form of forced labour, bonded labour, human trafficking, or exploitation.
Clean Me reserves the right to suspend or permanently remove operators who are found to be in breach of these requirements.
6. Reporting Concerns
Clean Me encourages anyone using the platform, including customers and operators, to report concerns related to unethical behaviour, labour exploitation, or modern slavery.
Reports will be reviewed promptly and appropriate action will be taken where necessary. This may include investigation, suspension of platform access, or reporting concerns to relevant authorities.
7. Due Diligence
Clean Me takes reasonable steps to ensure ethical standards across the platform, including:
Maintaining terms of service and platform rules for operators.
Monitoring operator conduct through platform feedback and dispute systems.
Taking action where operators fail to meet expected standards.
8. Continuous Improvement
Clean Me will continue to review and improve its policies and procedures to reduce the risk of modern slavery and ensure responsible business practices within the platform.
9. Responsibility for the Policy
The directors of Clean Me Marketplace Ltd have overall responsibility for ensuring this policy complies with legal obligations and reflects the company’s commitment to ethical business conduct.
10. Policy Review
This policy will be reviewed periodically and updated where necessary to ensure it remains effective and compliant with legal requirements.
